Located in Bridgeport, Kimski is a counter service Korean Polish street food joint led by Chef Won Kim.
What started as a back yard family tradition has now come to life with the creation of Kimski, located in the expansion facility of Maria’s Packaged Goods & Community Bar.
When the Marszewski sons were kids their mother would often combine elements of their ethnic backgrounds and serve meals that featured both Korean and Polish cuisine. Years later the family would serve their signature KoPo BBQ on the back patio of the family bar and at special events and festivals. Since people enjoyed it so much they decided to open a new kitchen for Maria’s. After several Kimchi Tests, they asked their pal, Chef Won Kim, to make it happen.
Kimski is a counter service Korean Polish Street Food joint and you order your food at the counter. You can either dine-in on the Kimski patio out front or your food will be brought to you while you have a drink at Maria’s. It’s casual, and your food is run out to you as it's made. So be prepared to eat tapas style and enjoy.
The staff of Kimski are full of surprises as we are surrounded by amazing local urban farmers who bring us wonderful produce for us to pickle and play with. We source as local as possible and make everything from scratch within our means. We pride ourselves in being ethical and responsible with every ingredient we use.
The Kimski and Maria’s branding and identity were designed by Michael Freimuth and Company at Franklyn.
The Design and Build of the addition of Maria’s is by Norsman Architects
